Mountain Resorts

Pra Loup

Pra Loup is one of the largest mountain resorts in the Southern French Alps.

Internationally known as a winter ski destination it is also very popular in summer and is renowned as a centre for mountain biking.

Graded, waymarked bike trails descend from the summit station of the cable car and the resort offers many other open air activities such as pony riding, trampolines, and quad bikes.

The central square boasts numerous restaurants and bars, many with sunny terraces.  Summer evenings see a wide variety of entertainment such as concerts and firework displays.

Le Sauze

Le Sauze is a small resort that has grown up around an existing alpine village.

Several waymarked walks start from the resort centre which houses restaurants, bars and shops.

In summer, one of the ski-lifts provides access to a toboggan run and another climbs directly up the mountain to 1700m, from where footpaths lead still higher and on to the high-altitude restaurants.

Sainte Anne

The highest of the Ubayen resorts, Sainte Anne is situated at 1830m

Offering spectacular views of the alpine meadows, Sainte Anne is an ideal destination for those who wish to get away from it all.

A number of waymarked trails pass through or close to the resort, including the GR56, the « tour de l'Ubaye ».
